Our family of 6 stayed for the month of August, 2009 at the Avalon Beach retreat and loved every minute. We always have trouble finding accomodation for our large family and this house was perfect. A block from beautiful Avalon beach (you can hear the waves at night), 3 large bedrooms so everyone can spread out and sleep well, walking distance to Avalon village shops and Cliffside bush walking tracks, BBQ, Pool Table, washer & dryer, internet, foxtel, games & DVD's, comfortable beds, and a great host who we never saw except the few times we had a question or needed anything - then he was there straight away. We had several weeks to explore the incredibly beautiful Northen Beaches of Sydney and decided this little stretch of North Avalon is as good as it gets. We can't recommend Avalon Beach Retreat highly enough and hope to visit again someday.

We have had a wonderful, relaxing time at your cottage. It certainly felt very much like a retreat-away from it all, but very rewarding for all of us. Perfect location from the beach & town. Very cosy-felt so much at home. Friends came to visit & wondered how we found such a hidden treasure. Will definitely come back!

I think that this house is just perfect with everything we need. And I think it is the first time we can have an internet connection & computer renting a house!
Thank you for your kindness & help...we’ll try to come back as soon as possible (but France is sooo far…) and for sure we will recommend your house to our friends.

I came here from Ireland to visit my son & his girlfriend and they kindly bought me here for the weekend. Your place is wonderful and we all had a great time. I am sure you will be hearing from my son and his friends again and maybe even me.

WE have had a wonderful time here-the house has been the perfect place for us to spend some quality time with family. We have particularly enjoyed the "extras" such as detailed instructions on how to use everything, internet access, Pears soap. We will be recommending Avalon Beach Retreat to our friends & hope we'll return ourselves one day.

What a fantastic place! We all want to come back and live in Avalon & are leaving very reluctantly! The house is fantastic & great the feel so 'at home'. We had friends visit from Sydney & they were very jealous.

"WOW, what an amazing place; right by an amazing beach; lovely town etc,etc. It is hard to imagine that people actually live here all year round! How lucky you are. The kids learnt to surf in an hour(ask for Midge in the surf shop in Avalon Town centre) & the walk to the lighthouse was another highlight. Once we learned your heating system we were more than comfortable. The "operations book" was very informative.
The Retreat was appropriate for our family of five. The kitchen was wonderful with nice cooking & table settings; the beds & pillows were amply comfortable with more blankets than we required. We loved your benches & ample table for the adults & we used the smaller one to feed the children.

We have stayed in many places, hotels & retreats & your Avalon Beach Retreat rates 4 stars (****) & we will return. The open area is great for entertaining family & friends.
We will be back!
